The past five years of my life have been crazy. In August 2015, I started an online Bachelors Degree, which I graduated with in December 2016. I took a semester off before beginning my Masters Degree in June 2017. I graduated with my Masters Degree in May 2018, the same month I found out I was pregnant. I also became a Youth Services Librarian the same month. May 2018 was huge for me!

The last book I published was Mysterious Warriors: Redemption in November 2016, and I have written two books since then. Both have been stuck in the editing phase for a couple years. I have gotten some writing and editing done here and there the past three and a half years, but my focus has not been on writing.

I finally got really excited and wanted to go through my edits and back to publishing.

I have been listening (I love audiobooks) to a lot of books this year (2020). My goal is 200 books, and I've listened to 177 as of November 23. I think I'm going to meet my goal. I've noticed a lot of authors write short stories or novellas about characters in between the books they write. Karen Witemeyer, Kiera Cass, Sarah J Maas, etc. have all done this.

And thus became the idea for Child of Secrets: four short stories told in the point of view of Princess Diane from Child of Prophecy. Two brand new stories and two stories from Child of Prophecy told from her point of view. While writing these stories, my drive and love for writing continue to blossom. I am so excited to get back to editing Child of Magic.
