![]() When I first met Adam, on May 21, 2011, I didn't know the journey I was about to go on. I had asked a co-worker, who I knew was a Christian, if he had any single Christian friends. It was the next night, at my co-worker's wife's birthday that I met Adam. I'm not the kind of girl who enjoys parties, or going to a stranger's birthday to meet a guy. I should have been terrified and anxious, but God gave me strength and courage. I kept asking myself "What's the worst than can happen?" I figured if I didn't connect with the guy, I'd leave. Therefore, the worst that could happen was that I would waste an hour or so of a Saturday night. Adam and I spent the first hour of our acquaintance talking about the San Diego County Library system, a place where we had both worked. In fact, Adam had been the guy from SD County Facilities who had moved around the equipment when I worked for Backstage Library Works, a contractor for the county. From June 2009-April 2010, Adam and I had actually worked together. Through the library, we both knew so many people. After talking about the library, we covered the basic subjects: Star Wars and superheroes. On May 19, 2012, I married the man God had chosen for me. When I went to meet Adam, I also thought about "the best that could happen," which in my dating mind was always marriage. So now, for our second anniversary, I have decided to publish my third full-length novel, Child of Beauty, on that day. It will be available in paperback everywhere and on Kindle.
