Today, Thanksgiving 2014, also marks my parents' 38th wedding anniversary. I am so thankful to have been born their daughter. I am so thankful they raised me in a true Christian household, and I am thankful I've known God my whole life. I'm thankful for my amazing job as a Library Technician at the Lemon Grove library. I'm so thankful for my best friend, Janelle, and her new family. I am thankful for my amazing sister, her husband, and my wonderful niece and nephew. I am thankful for my harsh and loving brother who is my editor. I am thankful God brought me into Lisa Shapiro's Novel Writing class for four semesters and the people I met through her. I am thankful God brought Adam Hanson into my life, and I am so thankful for all the people I've met because of my husband. I am thankful to be volunteering at Vista Grande Community Church, and I am thankful for my step-mother-in-law, Nancee Hanson, for continually telling me about the San Diego Christian Writers' Guild until I finally joined. I am thankful for all the experiences I've been through to bring me where I am today. I am thankful for being friends with Nathan Stone and all the fun, imaginative creations we made together. I am thankful for working at Costco and meeting such wonderful people as Juan Guiterrez, Megan Webster, Vance King, Sarah Brown, and so many others who have given me tons of support, ideas, creativity, and help. I am thankful for the beauty of the world that God has made for us. I am thankful for hope, freedom, and all of the opportunities I have as an American. I am thankful for every breath I have, and I am thankful for all the people in my life. I am thankful for God's timing, and I am thankful for everything He has provided me. Thank you to everyone in my life for being such a great part of it!

I've been working on my new book, Child of Destiny, since the beginning of the month, and I'm almost to 20,000 words. Child of Destiny is the story of family torn apart by the prophecy in Najos. Twin sisters, husband and wife, and broken relationships are explored in this book. I'm on Chapter Twelve right now, and I'm excited to say that I really like how this book is turning out so far. The group Ruccis, which has popped in and out of Child of Prophecy and Child of Beauty, is a supporting part of the novel with the members explored and written about. I am so excited to have more information about Ruccis revealed, and I'm excited to see how the book turns out. I'm still incredibly pleased with Child of Beauty, and Mysterious Warriors: Broken is being edited right now. My goal is to have Child of Destiny completely written by the end of August. I will go through all of the edits for Mysterious Warriors: Broken when I get it back from my editor, and then hopefully by the end of August or beginning of September, I'll have Child of Destiny ready for him to edit. :-) Life is a never-ending book, and writing is something I truly enjoy doing. I am so blessed to be working in a library, and I absolutely LOVE my job. July 24 will be my 6 months at the library, and I can't believe that it's a little over a month away. My life continues to change and become something different all the time. I look forward to continuing this journey with my husband, family, and friends, and I will continue to work hard bringing new stories to my readers. My sister Rachel and her husband Raj were married this day nine years ago! Congratulations! Nine years later, one beautiful three-year-old girl and a little boy on the way, I'm so proud of my sister and her husband for their love and covenant. Congratulations Rachel and Raj! |
